26 06 09, clear day:
Something the girl read in the daily express horoscope column made her think of the boy today.
" Gemini: you distance yourself from people with agendas. life is too short for complicated game-playing: hence honesty in relationships is your preferred choice of interaction. jazz up your look .or lifestyle with a little colour."
for the record, the girl is not complicated and is not into game-playing. the boy had for the record fessed up to honesty and abhors game-playing.
all said and done, the girl feels it was definitely wrong timing that was the cause of it all...

A girl's love story
Come 22 07 09, it will be seven months since the girl left
lono and almost twelve months since the girl got reaquainted
with the boy after both first knew of each other sometime
in 08 07. as the saying goes, the rest is history. there
are certain things though the girl will keep close to her
heart when it comes to the boy.
seven months and the girl still has the boy on her mind
every so often. the girl wishes it will pass with time but
the heart does crazy things sometimes and the girl finds
it intoxicating and hard to breathe. the girl does not
know where the boy is and hopes that the boy will write to
tell the girl some news. the girl does wonder
sometimes if something happened to the boy around 03 09
but unless the boy is willing to tell the girl, only then
will the girl know. you see, the girl would rather have
the person tell her what is happening then having to probe too
much into what may be considered an intrusion of privacy.
seven months on and really the girl wants the boy to know
that she (still) likes him.
the girl also wants to thank the boy for teaching her how
to manage her feelings when in a relationship that is
thousand of miles away. to be clear, the boy and the girl
acknowledge at the beginning that both did not know how to
take it further hence the agreement (reluctantly on the
girl's part) to remain in the friends phase.

the girl now knows that her heart can endure it if her
mind wills it enough. the girl cannot say this is the same
for the boy but that is not the point. the girl has since
grown in maturity of thought and now understands herself
better. the girl regrets over the hasty decision made in
11 08 and now fervently prays for a miracle.

@ work in VIC 3000
16 & 17 6 09:
the girl visited a legal practice today with her mentor. this legal practice mainly does VLA-related
DHS work and it involves children in criminal and/or family -affected cases.
There came the time for reviewing matter files where the girl noted cases that will make her
shed tears. There was a case involving seeking protection order for a two year old baby and reading the nature of the case was certainly heart-wrenching. So after completing the site visit, the girl went away to write up her report before meeting with the legal-eagle to finalise the report.
Next day, the girl was initially meant to meet the legal-eagle in the afternoon at the legal-eagle's office. Slightly after lunch time, the legal-eagle called to re-schedule the meeting place to the children's court instead.
In all eagerness to finalise her report, the girl made her way to the address at 477 little lonsdale street.
at the children's court building, the girl went through security checks and made her way to the second level of the building. there she met with the legal-eagle and what she noted while waiting was different types of people i.e. families that appeared to be from the low-income group
waiting for court attendance. the legal-eagle told the girl that there is more drama during the mornings at this children's court building and the flow builds up throughout the day. the legal-eagle further admitted that there were times where legal-eagle needed kleenex for some of the matters
the legal-eagle undertakes.
For all that is worth, the girl is grateful that her work allows her the flexibility to meet with different
people and to experience work outside of the traditional office space. to add, this was the first exit interview the girl undertook without the presence of her mentor. the girl feels blessed and pray that her stamina and passion for what she is doing would remain strong for a while longer.

A love story in lono
7 Nov 2008 - 22 Nov 2008:
071108 / 171108 was one of the happiest day(s) of the girl's life.
It was the first time in more than five years that the girl had a love confession or at least had someone confess his feelings for her.
the girl was on cloud nine and experience many euphoric feelings. it was not an easy decision because the girl knew that she would be leaving the country soon and would be very far away from the boy. so what the girl propose was to treat this special moment as a holiday romance but little did she realise how difficult the aftermath would be and till this day, still regrets that she did not have the courage to take it beyond the day she left the country.
Until now, the girl still thinks of the boy..of his smell..of his kiss .
the time the girl spent with the boy was one of her happiest moments in the country. She loved every minute of it. the girl love it when the boy said that he liked her before it started and still likes her very much. this was in an email on 171108. the girl regrets not taking sufficient time to reply to the boy and still regrets it today.
the boy by now, would have moved on as youth is on his side. whereas the girl is experiencing inertia - whilst longing for the past, hopes to move on in time.
the girl knew then that the timing was not right. the girl likes the boy very much but felt that the timing for the boy to go through with this, was misplaced.
the girl felt it unfair to have to put the boy through it - less a burden to have to think of the girl ten thousand miles away.
the girl's affection for someone is usually through actions i.e. the girl would try her best to help him when asked to do so. Yes, the girl would whine a bit but she would see it through. the girl has little experience with matters of the heart. She does not know what to expect with such relationships however brief it is. the girl loves the boy's company and enjoys doing things with the boy - going to museums, cinemas, dining at little inexpensive cafes she does not care so long as she is in good company, that's all that matters.
the girl loves it when she learns new things from the boy whatever his age is. the girl has gone past the age barrier and the boy's age is the girl's little secret that she shall not reveal.
the girl recently read books by Paulo Coelho and now understands that love simply is, no commitment, no debt. And the girl can boldly say she loves the boy. the girl wishes the boy would sense it but thinks the likelihood of that happening is like a drop in the ocean. Shakespeare says that the course of true love never did run smooth. but it can nevertheless run if two interested persons will it enough. the girl has no explanation for loving the boy but she just does. Coelho says that 'true love can withstand all forms of separation'. Nevertheless, the girl just want the boy to be happy.
Now, the girl is just sorry that she did not tell the boy the truth in her heart in 112008. In time, the boy would have forgotten about the girl. In time, the girl's heart would have died a little.
Yet, the girl still hopes that one day, the boy would meet her in a museum somewhere in this little world.
